That’s the problem we started with. It’s why everything here begins with one rule: your files live somewhere the next reinstall can’t reach.
Three steps — and the machine does most of it
1 · Install the OS
Windows today, Linux if you’re building an AI rig. You’re present for the one decision that has to be yours — what gets erased — and nothing is wiped without your explicit yes.
2 · The AI sets it up — with your approval
It proposes the plan first. Once you approve, it partitions the drive so your files live apart from the OS, builds your folder structure, and installs your tools. Anything destructive waits for your yes, and every step is written to a log.
3 · Yours to command
Everything set up, everything logged, and a plain-language record of what was done and how to undo it. Not a black box — a receipt you can read.

Canonhold is the local context layer that holds your exact AI work on your own machine, connects it to your files, and lets you verify sources and approve what runs — before it runs, without vendor lock-in. You bring your AI history in (verified on the way in, not scraped), the originals stay local, and Canonhold proposes while you approve — no silent changes.

Run more than one AI agent on the same work without silent overwrites. Workspace Guard is the neutral, on-machine layer that decides who’s allowed to act, keeps a record of every move, and hands off cleanly — across any vendor. The local guard works today; the rest is on the way.
Why we’re doing this
We believe civilization is moving from scarcity to abundance — expertise, knowledge, and tools that used to be locked away are becoming available to everyone. That shift isn’t automatic, and it isn’t guaranteed. It has to be built, and it has to be trustworthy. Future Maven exists to help ordinary people take part in that future instead of fearing it.
